PUSTAKA MIRI’S MAKERSMEET X MAKERS BOOTCAMP 2023 IS BACK NOVEMBER 25 & 26

MIRI – Sarawak State Library, Miri Campus invites the public to attend MakersMeet x Makers Bootcamp 2023 program this coming November 25 and 26, 2023.
The main programs, Junior Makers Innovators Competition and Makers Bootcamp, will also take place on the same days, targeting high school students in Miri city.
The objective of organizing this program is to create a platform for local designers and creators from various fields and backgrounds to meet and share knowledge, and also to promote the existence of the MakerSpace & Ruang Daya Cipta (RDC) at the Sarawak State Library, Miri, to the community. Furthermore, this program is expected to inspire participants to think creatively and innovate in creating something new. The aim is to cultivate creativity and innovation at the grassroots level, encompassing all layers of the local community.
Among the activities or events that will take place over the two days are the Compose Fertilizer Workshop with the Lestari Unit from the Miri City Council, Crochet Workshop with Little Yarn Shop, Skirt A and Lunch Bag Workshop with the Miri Sewing Community Cooperative, Music Workshop with Jay Embok Sari, Arts and Crafts Workshop for children and teenagers, Cartoon Drawing Workshop by Niki Comic Artist, Coffee Latte Art Workshop and Chicken Pie workshop in the Culinary Space, and Upcycle Cloth Pouch and Keychain Workshop with Me.REKA. Workshops regarding Natural Landscape Photography and Natural Soap Making will also be held in the MakersMeet 2023 program. Moreover, MakersMeet exhibitions will also be organized.
Other than that, various competitions will be held during this two-day program, which include Painting & Weathering Figure, Drone Competition, MUA Makers Competition, TikTok Video Competition, Recycling Runway Competition, Paper Mache Competition, and not forgetting Makers Got Talent.
The activities, which involve other agencies, will be held in ten (10) spaces: 3D Printing Space, Culinary Space, Hobbies Space, Gardening Space, Textiles Space, Handicrafts Space, Arts & Crafts Space, Robotics & Drone Space, Music Space, and not forgetting the Local Community Entrepreneurship Space.
