Question: If my ship wants to make a call at the port, how do I go about it ?
Answer: You need to serve 36 hours advance notice to the port informing of the scheduled arrival of your ship in the form of Appendix A. For berthing of vessel, you need to submit application for berth in the form of Appendix C. The manifest and other details on cargo to be discharged are to be provided. For working of vessel, you need to submit duly completed Application For Working Of Vessel form. Finally, before works are to commence, the ship needs to be cleared by the relevant authorities such as Port Health, Immigration and Customs Departments.
