30th October 2024, KUCHING – The Sarawak Bookfair & Sarawak Authors Festival 2024 was successfully launched by YB Datuk Amar Professor Dr. Sim Kui Hian, Deputy Premier and Minister for Public Health, Housing, and Local Government at The Hills, Kuching, today.

During the launch of the Sarawak Bookfair & Sarawak Authors Festival 2024, YB Datuk Amar Professor Dr. Sim Kui Hian expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Pustaka Negeri Sarawak and collaborators for their tireless efforts in bringing the event to life.

He emphasized that book fairs like this one serve as vital reminders that books are not merely products but portals to personal growth, cultural connection, and a deeper understanding of the world.

YB Datuk Amar further highlighted that the role of libraries in Sarawak is more than just collections of books; they serve as hubs of community engagement, learning, and growth.

Everyone is invited to explore the bookfair, which features over 3,000 book titles until 3rd November 2024 at The Hills, Kuching.
