COMMUNITY DOCUMENTS CONSERVATION PROGRAM ORGANIZED BY THE NATIONAL VISUAL ARTS DEVELOPMENT BOARD, KUALA LUMPUR IN COOPERATION WITH THE SARAWAK STATE LIBRARY.
KUCHING : A document conservation session will be organized by the National Visual Arts Development Board in collaboration with the Sarawak State Library on 7 November 2022, from 9.00 to 11.00 am at the Lower Level Foyer, Sarawak State Library.
The purpose of this session is to give exposure to the public and the community to learn the basic processes of conserving and repairing old documents such as personal documents and so on. In addition, this session can also give awareness about the importance of preserving and conserving old documents or records that have historical value to their owners and need to be preserved to be inherited by future generations.
Therefore, the public is invited to attend and bring old personal documents for basic repair purposes such as torn, affected by flooding, moldy and so on.
Participation is free and open to the public. Please follow the prescribed SOP and use a face mask throughout the program.
