MIRI – From 26th to 28th February
Pustaka Miri`s Offsite Team was led by librarian
Lilian Baun Pulo. The program reached out to some 800 students, teachers and
villagers of Long San with activities including Information Literacy Skills and
`Born To Read` sessions as well as environmental talks and children activities.
The environmental
talks include `Green Initiatives` (Amalan Hijau) by Natural Resources
and Environment Board (NREB), `River Safety` by the Sarawak Rivers Board and `Aedes
and Dengue`by Miri City Council/ Miri LA21.
The schools
involved were SMK Temenggong Datuk Lawai Jau and SK St Pius. During the
program, nearly 100 new members of Pustaka were registered.
