Lucas’ silver collection on exhibition at Pustaka Miri

Silver items belonged to a local avid antique item collector Johny
Lucas are currently on display for a public exhibition at Pustaka Miri.

The exhibition which started from Dec 9 will be on until Jan 9 next year.

Among the silver items on exhibition are trophies, trays, forks, spoons, coins, watches and accessories.

Lucas said the exhibition on silver items was the first exhibition ever conducted by him.

“I’ve
started collected the silver items collection from year 1960. Most of
my collection was purchased during my travelling days overseas,
particular in Singapore.

“There were also items given by my close friends,” he said when met at exhibition venue in Pustaka Miri yesterday.

The most attractive items in the exhibition are a Chinese teapot set which he collected from China and Singapore.

All are welcome to the exhibition daily from 11am until 7pm, except public holidays.
