An exhibition on `History of Sarawak Day`

Kuching – An exhibition on `History of Sarawak Day` highlighting events on Sarawak`s
independence is being showcased at Anjung Budi, Level 1, Pustaka Negeri
Sarawak, from now until August 12 2016.
The exhibition held in conjunction with the Sarawak Day feature stories that took place
in the early history of Sarawak followed by the moments of Sarawak’s independence on
22 July 1963.
This exhibition aimed at encouraging Sarawakians to appreciate and understand the importance
of local historical events namely`s Sarawak Independence Day as well commemorate the fighters and leaders involved.
The exibition is jointly organized by the National Archives Department of Malaysia Sarawak,
Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Sarawak Museum Department,Information Department (Penerangan) and RTM Sarawak.
Admission is free and the exhibition is open for public viewing from 10am to 6pm every Monday to Friday and from 9am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday except public holidays.
