State Library to hold Zika Virus Awareness Programme

Kuching - In conjunction with World Blood Donor Day which is celebrated on 14 June every year,
the Sarawak State Library in collaboration with the Blood Bank, Sarawak General Hospital
will be organizing a World Blood Donor Day and Zika Virus Awareness Program on 27 August 2016 from 8:00 am to 11 : 00 am at Sarawak State Library.
Among the activities that will be held on that day are the children`s coloring competition,
poster design competition, ‘Youth Blood Donor’ workshop, talks on zika virus, exhibition,
blood donation and health screenings.
This program aims to create awareness among younger generation and citizens on the importance of blood donation.
Other than that, Sarawak State Library aims to promote their reading material collection and reference that are related to the topic either in printed or electronic material in order to create reading interest.
Public are invited to celebrate and join this program. Admission is free.
