29 June 2026, KUCHING – Pustaka Negeri Sarawak today welcomed Dr D.E.K. Wijasuriya, the first Director-General of the National Library of Malaysia, and his delegation during a courtesy visit to Pustaka Negeri Sarawak.

The delegation was welcomed by the Chief Executive Officer of Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Tuan Haji Japri Bujang Masli, together with Pustaka's top management team.

The visit featured a briefing and discussion on Pustaka Negeri Sarawak's roles, strategic initiatives, library development, knowledge management, as well as opportunities to enhance professional collaboration and strengthen the library and information sector.

During the visit, Dr Wijasuriya shared that this was his second visit to Pustaka Negeri Sarawak and expressed his admiration for the organisation's remarkable achievements and continuous progress over the years.

He also commended Pustaka Negeri Sarawak for its innovation, service excellence, and contributions to knowledge, learning, and community development.

The visit concluded on a positive note, reinforcing a shared commitment to excellence and future collaboration.
