Posted on 22 May 2026

22 May 2026, KUCHING – Pustaka Negeri Sarawak yesterday received a meaningful book donation from the Sarawak Agriculture Veteran Association (SAVA) in support of knowledge preservation and wider public access to information on Sarawak’s agricultural heritage and development.

The delegation from SAVA was warmly welcomed by Tuan Haji Japri Bujang Masli together with members of the Pustaka management team.

In his remarks, Tuan Haji Japri expressed sincere appreciation to SAVA for the generous contribution, noting that the donation reflects the association’s strong commitment towards preserving and sharing valuable knowledge and experiences from the agricultural sector for the benefit of present and future generations.

The donated publications will be distributed across Pustaka Negeri Sarawak’s network of regional and rural libraries throughout Sarawak to ensure broader community access to these important reference materials.

The donation comprises the following publications:
- 100 Years of Agricultural Development in Sarawak – 275 copies
- Success Stories of Agricultural Undertakings – 30 copies
- The Way We Were in Agriculture Sarawak – 140 copies (soft and hard copies)

The contribution is expected to further enrich Pustaka Negeri Sarawak’s reading and reference collections, particularly in relation to the history, development, and achievements of the agricultural sector in Sarawak.

Pustaka Negeri Sarawak also commended SAVA for its commendable efforts in documenting the state’s agricultural journey and preserving valuable institutional knowledge that will continue to serve as an important reference for researchers, students, and the wider community.

This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of both organisations towards promoting lifelong learning, knowledge accessibility, and the preservation of Sarawak’s heritage through documented resources.
