Pustaka Negeri Sarawak Participates in SEAPAVAA 2026 in Ipoh, Perak

9th June 2026, IPOH - Pustaka Negeri Sarawak is currently participating in The 30th Southeast Asia-Pacific Audiovisual Archive Association (SEAPAVAA) Conference, themed “Redefining Audiovisual in Archives: Relevancy, Technology and Unity”, held from 6 to 11 June 2026 in Ipoh, Perak.

This prestigious ongoing conference serves as a high-impact platform bringing together international audiovisual archive experts to exchange knowledge and best practices in audiovisual and archival management. It also supports the professional development and recognition of audiovisual archivists while strengthening global collaboration within the archival community.

Pustaka Negeri Sarawak is presenting a paper titled “Preserving Heritage Microfilm: A Collaborative Approach to Recovery and Duplication” by Puan Dayangku Horiah Binti Awang Gani and Encik Mohamad Aizat Bin Ajis from Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, in collaboration with Hajah Siti Romiza Romali and Encik Alexius Andrew from the Sarawak Land and Survey Department.

This participation reflects Pustaka Negeri Sarawak’s continued commitment to strengthening heritage preservation efforts, as well as enhancing strategic collaboration between institutions in the field of archives and information management at both national and international levels.
