MOU Signed For ICA Kuching 2027

The International Council on Archives (ICA), Sarawak State Library (Pustaka Negeri Sarawak) and the National Archives of Malaysia (Arkib Negara Malaysia) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalise their collaboration for the ICA Biennial Conference 2027.

The signing took place during a virtual ceremony on 5 June 2026, marking the official start of preparations for the Conference, which will be held in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, from 16 to 21 October 2027.

The MoU establishes the framework for cooperation between the three organisations as they begin working together to deliver the Conference and strengthen international collaboration within the archival community.

The MoU was signed by ICA President Josée Kirps, Chief Executive Officer of the Sarawak State Library Japri Bujang Masli, and Director-General of the National Archives of Malaysia Zaidin Mohd Noor.

Le Conseil international des archives (ICA), la Bibliothèque d’État du Sarawak et les Archives nationales de Malaisie ont signé un protocole d’accord (MoU) afin d’officialiser leur collaboration pour la Conférence biennale de l’ICA 2027.

La signature a eu lieu lors d’une cérémonie virtuelle le 5 juin 2026, marquant le lancement officiel des préparatifs de la Conférence, qui se tiendra à Kuching, au Sarawak (Malaisie), du 16 au 21 octobre 2027.

Le protocole d’accord établit le cadre de coopération entre les trois organisations, qui commencent à travailler ensemble pour organiser la Conférence et renforcer la collaboration internationale au sein de la communauté archivistique.

Le protocole d’accord a été signé par la Présidente de l’ICA, Josée Kirps, le Directeur général de la Bibliothèque d’État du Sarawak, Japri Bujang Masli, et le Directeur général des Archives nationales de Malaisie, Zaidin Mohd Noor.

El Consejo Internacional de Archivos (ICA), la Biblioteca Estatal de Sarawak y los Archivos Nacionales de Malasia han firmado un Memorando de Entendimiento (MoU) para formalizar su colaboración para la Conferencia Bienal del ICA 2027.

La firma tuvo lugar durante una ceremonia virtual el 5 de junio de 2026, marcando el inicio oficial de los preparativos para la Conferencia, que se celebrará en Kuching, Sarawak (Malasia), del 16 al 21 de octubre de 2027.

El Memorando de Entendimiento establece el marco de cooperación entre las tres organizaciones, que comienzan a trabajar juntas para organizar la Conferencia y fortalecer la colaboración internacional dentro de la comunidad archivística.

El Memorando de Entendimiento fue firmado por la presidenta del ICA, Josée Kirps, el director general de la Biblioteca Estatal de Sarawak, Japri Bujang Masli, y el director general de los Archivos Nacionales de Malasia, Zaidin Mohd Noor.
