Summary
I picked up this book hoping to find deeper ways to manage stress especially something that could help me tackle the root causes. Unfortunately, the book was disappointing. It’s very short and doesn’t offer much substance. The first chapter explains what stress is, its causes, and how people respond to it. While mildly interesting, it felt too general and didn’t really reflect my own experiences. The second chapter is basically a long list of stress relief tips and some are common (like deep breathing or playing with a pet), and others feel a bit odd or “new age.” Each one has a short explanation, but overall, it felt like reading a blog post rather than a helpful guide. What I really wanted was a solid approach or framework for understanding and managing stress in everyday life not just a list of quick fixes.
