Weeding is the process of regularly removing outdated or irrelevant library resources. Item are weeded from our collections based on a set of criteria relevant to library policy.[1]
Designated officer will identify the areas of weeding exercise and email will be issued to Top Management. The area to be stock take will be closed to the public. Staff and users will be notified via Email, Infoblast, Notice, Social Media, Website and Staff Assembly (for staff only). Designated officer will be briefed on the stock take exercise. Stock taking exercise will be execute approximately for one week. Library materials with barcode is scanned and uploaded to Angkasa Library Management System. Designated officer will request the vendor to produce the report. Vendor will notify designated officer if the report is available in the Angkasa Library Management System.
