The Children Park at Pustaka is a knowledge and information-based park equipped with walking tracks, outdoor tables and benches, pavilion, gazebos, playground and structures. It also will adorned with sand, green and wooded areas

Importance of the Park

The park is importance as it

a) provides a valuable space for children to bond away from the distractions of technology and the lure of television.
b) is ideal for fitness and training and encourage children to adopt a more healthy outdoor lifestyle.
c) and other positive outdoor spaces are widely regarded as key to improving the mental health of children.
d) plays an important role in the development of social and fine motor skills in young children, as well as encouraging an active lifestyle.

The Concept


Trails and Path
  • Concrete footpath networks forming the letter “K” signifying knowledge.
  • Walking tracks only.
Playground equipment and materials
  • Swings made of tropical hardwood (preferably Belian Timber) poles, supporting frames and seats with metal chain attachments.
  • Slides made of tropical hardwood (preferably Belian Timber) poles, ladders and supporting frames with plastic slides.
  • Climbing Walls made of tropical hardwood (preferably Belian Timber) boards, poles and supporting frames
  • Climbing Ropes made of tropical hardwood (preferably Belian Timber) poles, supporting frames with natural fibre ropes.
  • Spinners or roundabouts made of tropical hardwood (preferably Belian Timber) deck, metal handles and metal hubs with ball bearings.
  • Seesaws made of tropical hardwood (preferably Belian Timber) with metal handles and rubber dampers.
  • Monkey Bars made of tropical hardwood, preferably Belian Timber.
  • Tree Stumps made of tropical hardwood, preferably Belian Timber.
  • Wobble Bridges made of tropical hardwood (preferably Belian Timber) poles, supporting frames with natural fibre ropes.
  • Spider Webs made of tropical hardwood (preferably Belian Timber) poles with natural fibre ropes.
