Bijurey Mongag Community Reading Corner was established in Simunjan District in 2017. The site was proposed by the then Director-General of the National Library of Malaysia. Site and requirement studies studies were conducted in 2016. The reading corner is situated in 10 by 20 feet area within a hugh community hall. Facing the reading corner is the vilage proper of Temiang. Just 100 meters away is Temiang Primary School.

The Community

Temiang is an Iban village in Simunjan district with a population of about 500 people. This village is about 15 kilometers from Simunjan Town where the nearest library service is available. The villagers are mostly farmers, plantation workers, labourers and government servants. This village is equipped with basic necessities such as electricity, treated water and telecommunication lines. It is accessible by tar-sealed road.
