Nur Farhan Bin Aini

Nur Farhan Bin Aini (born 16 May 1996) is an Assistant Librarian who has served Pustaka Negeri of Sarawak since August 2021. He started his internship at Sarawak State Library on August - December 2019. He served as PANDei Volunteer at Sarawak State Library from August 2020 to August 2021 and continued as an Assistant Librarian. He also served as treasurer of Persatuan Pustakawan Malaysia (PPM) Kumpulan Sarawak 2020/2022. He is of ethnic Melanau descent.

Early Life and Education

Farhan Aini was born on 16 May 1996 at Klinik Kesihatan Kpg. Tekajong, Daro, Sarawak. He is the fourth child of Aini Bin Hj. Ahmat (father) and Melati Binti Assim (mother). Farhan has seven siblings namely Nasrul Khaidir, Mohamed Azmirul, Farah Wahida, Ahmad Rezwan, Mohd. Zuhri and Fatin Nabilah. Farhan undertook his early schooling at SK Kpg. Tekajong (2003) before continued to five different school until standard 6.

Sarjana Muda Sains Maklumat (Kepujian) Pengurusan Perpustakaan

He continued his secondary school at SMK Agama Igan, Mukah Sarawak and completed his form 6 (pre-university) Major in Sharia' and Arabic at the same school. In 2019, he received a bachelor’s degree in Library Management from UiTM.

Working Experience

Farhan began his career as an internship student at Sarawak State Library, August – December 2019 under Library Services Sector. In August 2020 – August 2021, he became a Pustaka’s volunteer for People Accessible Network for Digital Empowerment and Inclusivity (PANDei) Program and continued his career as Assistant Librarian in August 2021 – current at Pustaka.
