Mohd Awis Abu Bakar
Mohd Awis was born Mohd Awis Abu Bakar in Bekenu, Sarawak on 11 April 1986. He is of Malay (father) and Kedayan (mother) ancestry. He is the second child in a family of three (one older sister and one younger sister). Mohd Awis graduated from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan with a Bachelor of Information Management (Library Science & Management) in 2019. In 2016 - present, he continue his study in Master of Quality Management at Open University Malaysia.

- 2009 - Internship Student for two months at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Miri.
- 2010 - 2011 - Trainee Librarian at The Library, Curtin University Sarawak.
- 2011 - 2012 - Sales & Marketing Executive at Borneo Tropical Rainforest Resort, Miri.
- 2012 - 2014 - Course Counselor at Cahaya Educational & Training Academy (CETA).
Career at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak
In 2014, he joined Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Miri as Assistant Librarian. Currently, he is the Head of Community Service Unit under Information Services Division, Miri.
