Joined Harris Bakar Management Sdn Bhd.in 1997 after finishing my degree. They provides organizations with a range of accounting services to keep the business operating as efficiently and as cost effectively as possible, so all that the organizations need to concentrate on, is their core business. As a continuation of the Accounting Services it also provides Audit Management as well as a Tax Advisory and Compliance. I was assigned with auditing, accounting and taxation service units. My employment ends in 1999, however, I still with Harris Bakar Management Sdn Bhd. On contract base assignment, before in join Highpoint Sdn Bhd.

Acer’s official Service Provider, Highpoint Service Network Sdn Bhd.(Acer Subsidiary Company) was established in 1999 to cater to the country’s growing need for efficient, convenient and easily accessible ICT services. I join this company in the year 2001 as an Account Assistant. I was assigned to accounts payable section and assign to the following functions:-
- Priority supplier scheduling
- Controlling customer payments
- Cash flow control
- Credit control procedures

The Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) was established on 1st March 1972 as a state – owned statutory body with the general aim of promoting the commercial, industrial and socio-economic development of the State. SEDC was established under the Perbadanan Pembangunan Ekonomi Sarawak Ordinance (Sarawak Cap. 35), a law duly passed by the Sarawak State Assembly in accordance with the powers conferred on and delegated to the State Government of Sarawak under the Constitution of Malaysia. Joined since 2001 as a trainee and later hired as contract staff, assign as assistant internal auditor.

The Sarawak State Library was established in 1999 with the passing of the Sarawak State Library Ordinance 1999 [1] by the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly. The official opening of the main campus in Kuching on 31 December 1999 was graced by The Right Honourable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Haji Abdul Taib bin Mahmud, the Chief Minister of Sarawak. Services for the public started on 2 January 2000. Was offered post of an internal auditor for Pustaka negeri Sarawak in 2003. My responsibility is to establish an internal audit division. and became part of the corporate governance function.

The Malaysian Institute of Accountants
The Malaysian Institute of Accountants is committed to the observance and practice of the highest ethical standards of the accountancy profession. Among the functions of the MIA specified in the Accountants Act 1967 are regulating the profession, providing training & education and promoting the interest of the accountancy profession. The MIA’s role in supporting and promoting the development of accounting education in the country takes on a greater challenge as it is also responsible for ensuring that both existing and future professionals are able to face global challenges while remaining relevant to the needs of society.
Driving membership to ensure that the nation has enough accounting talent to support economic development and transformation activities is a key objective behind the establishment and existence of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). As a member based organization, providing high quality and relevant membership services to attract, satisfy and retain members is thus one of the core functions of the Institute. Became members of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants in 2003 and recognized as a chartered accountant (CA).
The use of the word ‘Accountant’
In Malaysia, the word ‘Accountant’ is protected as provided for under the provisions of the Accountants Act 1967 which states that no one can hold himself out or practise as an Accountant unless he is registered as a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Associate Member
A class open to persons who are engaged in fields related to internal auditing or have such interests but who do not qualify for membership under “Professional Member”. Any person who by virtue of being non-resident in Malaysia for a temporary period, may opt for associate membership for the duration. The designatory letters of Associate Member are AIIA which stands for Associate Member of The Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia.
