Good Response To Poetry Writing Workshop

Kuching - Pustaka Negeri Sarawak held a Poetry Writing Workshop
entitled ‘Let’s Write A Poem’ by Jais Sahok on 24 and 25 February 2015 at
Pustaka Negeri Sarawak’s Gallery. The workshop was
jointly held with Pustaka Negeri Sarawak and Sarawak
local authors and publishers under the Legal Deposit Programme.

The
two-day workshop attracted some 80 students, teachers, civil servants
and members of the public.

During the
workshop, participants were taught and guided to create poetry with two themes namely
love and prayer using mind maps and i-think method.

Poems that were
creatively written by each group were presented on the second day of the workshop.

Apart from
matching the meaning of poetry, the participants were given the opportunity to
create and send their poems to Jais Sahok for editing using the story board
method and shared them with other participants.



This workshop also revealed Jais Sahok’s 
more than 20 years of experience and knowledge in the world of poetry.
