Sarawak State Library will once again organize a ‘1 File, 1 Week’ campaign starting 17th to 19th April 2017 and at this time around a Training on Records and File Management will also be held. The sessions will involve participation of Records Officer from 12 Resident Offices in Sarawak.

The campaign and training will be held in three (3) modules, Module 1: Briefing on The Best Records Management Awards of the Year and Records Management Training that will be held on 17th April 2017, Module 2: Practical in Records Processing on 18th April 2017 and Module 3: Transfer of Records to State Records Repository on 19th April 2017. All the three modules will be held at the State Records Repository from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

The campaign aims to create awareness among the government departments and agencies on the importance of proper management and maintenance of records and archives. In addition, the campaign is to encourage the transfer of systematic records and archives of government departments and agencies to the State Records Repository.
