On 2nd.-3rd. December 2008, a two-day workshop for The Blueprint ( Blueprint for Sarawak’s Information Management and Utilization) was convened Kuching, that brought together about 20 distinguished individuals from libraries, public sector and academia to share views, expertise and experiences on the libraries, particularly in the public library sector. She was the co-ordanitor for the workshop, assisted by Madam Suria Sonia Ahip.

BIODATA

She started her career as an Assistant Librarian in 1983 after completing a Library Science course at UITM, Shah Alam from 1980-1983. Her first working station was at the Ministry of Local Government Sarawak at the de facto State Library, located at Jalan P.Ramlee as the Reference Librarian, mainly setting up of the Reference collections.The Sarawak State Library was put under the Ministry of Environment and Tourism ( MET ). The Ministry of Local Government later changed its name to Ministry of Environment and Tourism. In 1988, the Reference Section of the Sarawak State Library was moved to the Civic Centre.

5 years later, she become a Cataloguer and was involved in the coming up of the " Fail Pengarang Untuk Nama-Nama Kumpulan Eknik" together with the National Library of Malaysia, Sabah State Library and Sarawak Museum. It was also during this time, that she was heavily involved in the Home Library workshops and the establishment of the village libraries under the Local Authorities.

By 1990, the State Government began to look seriously into the proper provision of library facilities in the State. So in June 1990, a British Library Consultant, Mr. Stephan Parker was commissioned to study the public library framework and prepare a 10-year public library development plan and project proposals for 6MP. She was appointed to assist this Consultant with his research.In 1993, Dr. David J. Jones, a Library Building Consultant was appointed as the library consultant. She was also assigned to assist Dr. Jones. On 24th.-25th. July 1998, the State Government organized a Workshop on the Management and operation of Pustaka Negeri Sarawak was held at Santubong. She was one of the participants in the "Library Services" group.
