Knowledge identification is a process in knowledge management. The process involves determining

  1. the types and extent of knowledge or information needed by the employees of Pustaka Negeri Sarawak (Pustaka) to effectively and efficiently run its operations and services.
  2. the main business processes (knowledge domains) and sub business processes (knowledge assets) where the knowledge or information exist
  3. the sources of the knowledge or information within the knowledge assets where the knowledge or information is contained
  4. whether the knowledge or information is tacit or explicit
  5. the methods to capture the identified knowledge of information
