Nur Amanina Mastani
My name is Nur Amanina binti Mastani. I am 26 years old and was born and raised in Miri, Sarawak. In 2018, I was hired by Pustaka Negeri Sarawak as librarian and currently serves as head of Sarawakiana Unit in Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Sibu campus.
Early Life
I was born on 28th August 1993 in Miri, Sarawak. Born eldest in the family, I have three other siblings; one little sister and two little brothers. My father, Mastani bin Hamid is a driver cum office assistant with Sedidik Sdn Bhd while my mother, Noraini binti Husaini, is a customer sales representative officer with Public Bank Berhad.
As a child, I enjoyed art and music a lot. Art and music was a big part of my childhood as my grandparents would turn on the karaoke machine or P Ramlee's movies for us whenever we come over to their house. According to my mother, karaoke has helped me learn how to read at an early age of 5 years old. I was inspired to learn English after my father read me a story book in English. As a result, I am proficient in English with Band 4 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
Educational Background
I started my early education in Tadika Bina Hikmah, Miri before passing the exams into the prestigious SK Agama (MIS) Miri for primary education where I obtained 6As in my UPSR. I went on to secondary education, achieving 5A,3B for Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) and 3A, 2B, 3C, 1D for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).
I went on to further my studies in mid 2011 and completed my Diploma in Information Management in October 2013 with a 3.56 CGPA. I then pursued my Bachelor's Degree in Records Management, minor in Systems in 2014 and completed it in June of 2016 with a 3.48 CGPA.
