Bijurey Mongag Community Reading Corner
Bijurey Mongag Community Reading Corner was established in Bau District in 2017. The site was proposed by the then Director-General of the National Library of Malaysia. Site and requirement studies studies were conducted in 2016. The reading corner is situated in 10 by 20 feet room, adjacent to the village community hall. Facing the reading corner is yard commonly used for social activities by the community in Bijurey Mongan.
The Community
Bijurey Mogag is a Bidayuh village in Bau district with a population of more than 500 people. This village is about 20 kilometers from Bau Town and the nearest library services arew about 10 kilometers away. The villagers are mostly farmers, plantation workers and labourers. This village is equipped with basic necessities such as electricity, treated water and telecommunication lines. It is accessible by tar-sealed road.
