Knowledge Management Division
The Knowledge Management (KM) Division was a division under the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Sector of Pustaka Negeri Sarawak (Pustaka). The other divisions are the Website and Web Applications Development Division and ICT Infrastructure Division.
Main Functions
a) Plan and develop Pustaka’s knowledge management programs.
b) Manage and administer Pustaka’s knowledge management initiatives.
c) Promote usage of Pustaka’s knowledge base.
d) Promote knowledge management awareness among Pustaka’s staff.
e) Assist in the monitoring of the State knowledge management programs.
Formation
The KM Division was formerly established in 2009 under the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Sector of Pustaka Negeri Sarawak (Pustaka). Its initial primary functions were to manage the enterprise contents of Pustaka, focusing on
- Video capture of monthly staff assemblies
- Video and still image capture of major event such as seminar, conferences, workshops and official functions
- Video and still image capture of library activities and programs
- Video capture of oral histories
- Design of corporate posters, banners, brochures, program books and other ephemerals
Former Staff
During its early development, the KM Division was managed and administered by two officers and two support staff.

4) Zainal Ali
Amalina Drahman resigned in 2009 due to personal reasons and was replaced by Abdul Afiq Abdul Aziz. After three years with Pustaka, Abdul Afiq Abdul Aziz quit to start his own business in the videography business. He was eventually replaced by Joponimilina Lisen in 2015. Musa Ayub Abdul Rahman was moved to newly formed division in the ICT Sector called the Website and Web Applications Development Division in 2014.
In July 2018, Fairul Azli Banchit was promoted to as Regional Manager and was moved to Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Sibu, or Pustaka Sibu. He was replaced by Bronny Lawrence Nawe in August 2018.
Restructuring and Merger
The KM Division was restructured in September 2018 to focus on the identification, capture, access and promotion of usage of organisational knowledge. This restructuring exercise saw Zainal Ali being moved to the Sarawakiana Division under the Depository Services Sector and Joponimilona Lisen being moved to the Corporate Communication Division under the Corporate Management Sector. On 1 February 2020, the KM was merged with Innovation and Sustainability Division.
