Mukah Public Library

The Mukah District Council Public Library, better known as Mukah Public Library was established to serve the communities in Mukah and Dalat District. It is under the jurisdiction of the Dalat and Mukah District Council.

Brief History

Mukah Public Library began operations in the Dalat and Mukah District Council office building at Jalan Kubu II in Mukah town in 1971. Three years later a library building was constructed in the old Mukah town centre. In 1986 the library building had to make way for a major redevelopment in that area and the library had to occupy a temporary premises until the completion of a new library building in 2002.
