Summary
This book is about an introduction to Islamic finance. It has 110 pages and divided into 6 chapters which include glossary, bibliography and index. The lists of figures and tables used in the content description are also detailed out. To me, this book gives a fair understanding of how Islamic finance operates which based on Syariah or Islamic law though to readers who have no strong background neither in Islamic finance nor Islamic law. The authors able to describe the chapters in simple and straight forward way, targeting to general readers to grasp huge interests in Islamic finance compared to conventional way in market. The book also gives a moderate number of examples for Islamic finances such as in housing loans, procurement of moveable assets, financial facilities etc. The comparative pros and cons between the conventional non-syariah finance and Islamic finance is detailed out. Towards the last chapter of the book, the authors bring the attention of readers to Islamic banking and its theory of profit.
