Stress and tension are real! They need to be controlled to ensure we have a better, healthier and productive life.
This book has a holistic approach to stress management which discusses stress problem and our potential for achieving solutions to it. It also helps us to examine and identify potential stress-producing elements in everyday life. There are also techniques for alleviating stress and tension elaborated in the book.
The parts that I like most are Chapter 11: Stress in the Workplace and Chapter 12 to 17 which are on techniques and ways of managing stress via breathing, relaxation, autogenics (self-generation) and visual imagery, yoga, stretch relaxation, meditation and stress reduction through physical activity. It is true (for me) that there are ways for us to reduce the stress level by doing physical fitness activities.
The book also has personal journal activities and self-assessments placed throughout to encourage readers to apply the concepts they have learned to themselves as well as helping them develop their own stress-management program.
