It’s hard to imagine Thor, the powerful god of thunder and protector of his people, wearing a bridal gown, but that’s exactly what happens in this story. When his hammer, the source of his power, is stolen, Thor has to come up with a plan to retrieve it, which involves dressing up as a bride and marrying the king of the giants. Thankfully, Thialfi, the goat boy, is there to help, and though he’s the one responsible for the hammer’s theft, he ends up playing a key role in saving the day. Honestly, I find it both humorous and intriguing to see such a mighty hero in such an unexpected and vulnerable position—it really adds a fun twist to the classic mythology.
