Summary: During World War II, the Tang family moves from Shanghai to Hong Kong for safety. When the Japanese invade Hong Kong, Mingzhu, her daughter Qiang, and their close friend Biyu are separated and face different struggles. Despite hunger, danger, and hardship, they become involved in the resistance against the occupation. The story shows their courage, strength, and determination to survive and find their way back to each other.
