Kuching - Cyber crimes are very common nowadays and
our country and people are also affected by them.
Since the internet has no
ownership and open to everyone, given the unrestricted number of free websites,
the internet is definitely open to abuse. For this reason, Internet users have to take security seriously by protecting
their customers, employees and company data from internet fraud and identity
theft.
Pustaka Negeri Sarawak is taking the initiative to
share this information and knowledge with the public by holding a community talk
entitled ‘Cyber Crime’ at its
Auditorium on 28 November starting at 2.30 pm.
The invited speaker for this talk
is a senior lecturer from Faculty of Computer Science and Information
Technology, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Haji Syahrul Nizam Junaini. He has written 8 books and is also a columnist for Tip Internet , Utusan Sarawak,
Anak dan ICT, Pa & Ma magazine.
Members of the public are invited to
attend the talk and admission is free. For further information and pre-registration please contact
Muhamad Ali Abdul Wahab at 082-442000 ext. 330 or email muhamaaw@sarawak.gov.my.
