InterPARES 3 Project, International Joint, Summit & Symposium

On 16 - 18 June 2011, the Sarawak State Library in collaboration with the Sarawak State Government and Universiti Teknologi MARA has held the 5th InterPARES International Joint, Summit & Symposium in the Sarawak State Library.

InterPARES 3 Project, International Joint Summit & Symposium themed "Preserving Authentic Records in the Digital Environment: Preliminary findings of the InterPARES 3 Project".

Opening of InterPARES 3 Summit & Symposium was completed by the representative of the Honourable Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, the Honorable Hajah Datin Fatimah Abdullah, Minister in the Chief Minister's Office on June 17, 2011.

In the evening, the dinner was held to welcome the arrival of InterPARES members together with the Honourable Datuk Amar Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg which was held at the Hilton Hotel.

About the 130 participants attended the InterPARES Symposium on 17 & 18 June 2011, comprising representatives from the departments and agencies of the state government and representatives from institutions of neighboring countries like Indonesia, Brunei, Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia. The contents of the set is concerned with the management of electronic records and archives.
